The new multi-purpose building and learning centre at St John Bosco’s Primary School features a large multi-purpose hall, flexible learning spaces, student amenities, large kitchen, and ample storage facilities. The project was awarded Best Interior Design- Non-Residential at the 2011 Building Design of Association of Victoria Awards. The experimental diamond geometry of the glazed windows and the colourful interior spaces, create a unique and stimulating learning and teaching environment.

Holy Name Primary School’s new first floor library and ground floor refurbishment of an exterior courtyard and amenities, provided an opportunity to create a vibrant and engaging outdoor area for the students. The library provides views into the courtyard, and is fitted with the latest technology, as well as traditional library features, creating a balanced and highly used learning space. It is also equipped with a full kitchen, allowing it to be used as a meeting and function space outside of school hours.

The new gymnasium and music centre at Great Ryrie Primary School, provides the school with a much needed upgrade to their existing facilities, and will include storage spaces, tuition rooms, office space, amenities, and a kitchen. The combination of brickwork and custom orb cladding on the facade balances the building within its surrounding context, while also presenting the school as an innovative and modern institution.

The new building is used by both the school and wider community, and will be a dominant feature from the street, providing the school with a new, modern facility.

Carlton Gardens Primary School, Carlton

Pavan Consultants designed a colourful new three storey multi-purpose building over the existing staff carpark at Carlton Gardens Primary School. The building works included the provision of a new performing arts centre, as well as classroom refurbishments in existing buildings. The erection of coloured Perspex panels and perforated screens on the facades allow for the diffusing of light into the classrooms and natural ventilation, particularly in the carpark.
